Research is based on online surveys and telephone interviews reached using organic and viral contact. The typical random sample is 1,500 adults with an average age of 44.1 years. Overall, 74.6% of survey participants reside in the United States, 11.1% are in Europe, and 2% are in Canada. All 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia are represented. Respondents are highly educated: all but 2% completed college and 47% have advanced degrees.
